U.S. News Announces 10 Least Expensive Private Med Schools

Private med schools vary widely in price. The cost of tuition and fees for the 2016-2017 school year for ranked private school in the 2018 Best Medical School Research and Primary Care Rankings range from $32,663 per year at Baylor College of Medicine to $63,890 per year at the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons. U.S. News has compiled a list of the 10 least expensive private med schools, along with their rankings, to help you sort out the data.

Two of the schools in the list offer discounts to in-state residents – Baylor College of Medicine and the Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. The prices given in the list are the cost for out-of-state students. Six of the ten schools were ranked in the bottom one-fourth in the med school rankings. These schools are labeled Rank Not Published (RNP). Schools that did not meet certain criteria required by U.S. News to be numerically ranked were not included in the report.
