Last year

Best Buy went all out for Black Friday in 2014. In an ad that spanned 20 pages, the retailer boasted savings on everything from TVs to smartphones to computers.

Best Buy opened at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day and stayed open until 1 a.m. Friday. Customers could resume shopping later that morning, with doors reopening at 8 a.m.

In terms of deals, Best Buy had some of the most compelling items. Here’s a look at what was being offered:

  • Samsung 55-inch LED 4K Ultra HD Smart TV for $899.99 (regularly $1,399.99)
  • Panasonic 50-inch LED 1080p HDTV for $199.99 (regularly $499.99)
  • Samsung Galaxy S5 (with a two-year activation) on sale for $1 ($198.99 discount)
  • iPad Air 2 for $399.99 ($100 discount)

In addition to TVs and phones, there were numerous deals on gaming systems, music and entertainment items, and more. While some of the steepest discounts were on doorbuster items, everything else was not only available in-store but online, as well.
